Your app runs really slow in my machine!
Specs:
Windows XP SP2
Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz
1 Gb DDR II (dual channel, 2 x 512 Mb really)
nVidia GeForce 8500GT 512 Mb DDR II PCIE 16x
I doubt it being my machine.
What blurring algorithm are you using?

I’ve only a question:
Idea is to emulate window composition, or just blurry borders?
I first made 9 half-transparent screenshots instead of realy reading in the color of each 9×9 pixel qaud and then bluring it…
But know I use a filter function of the InternetExplorer cause its fast and easy to use^^

I just make the border that the window has transparent and put a blured screenshot behind it ^^
